MESSY WALLET
-Spring 2020-
This project is to make a book spread with any object / skills. This shows my illustration skill and I choose money for object.
Is your wallet messy?
This book was inspired by the messy wallet that I personally owned. Whenever I get tips from my part-time job, I just put junks of money into my wallet without counting them, not even knowing how much I’ve made.
For this book, “Messy Wallet.” I drew all different money from different countries to make it more interesting. I included the US dollar, Korean Won, Japanese yen, etc. With all of those different country’s money, you have to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to find out the page number. Each page’s numbers are represented by the total amount of the money. That is why the page numbers are not shown in this book. The purpose is to make it fun and also to help you to understand the value of each country’s money.
CHAPTER 1-3 : ADDITION & DIVISION
[ Full image = + n | Half image = n / 2 ]
CHAPTER 4-5 : SUBTRACTION & MULTIPLICATION
[ n Colors = (n) | black = - n ]
*** n = money value ***
This book’s intentions are to count the total amount of the money and see if you are willing to go on without stopping even though it gets difficult. If you hadn’t given up, you would notice that the amount is getting higher as you flip the pages.
Just like a ‘Messy Wallet,’ take this as an example of your life. If you try your hardest and never give up on whatever you are participating in, you will reach your goal and become successful because your efforts will NEVER betray you.
